EWU CONTRIBUTES TO THE AMERICAN RED CROSS

January 20, 2010

JANUARY 20, 2010

The Eat With Us Group, the umbrella organization that owns Harveys, Jackson Square Grill, Central Station Grill, Fairpark Grill, Sweet Peppers Deli, Bulldog Deli and Park Heights, kicked off 2010 with donations to the American Red Cross. Locally and globally, EWU supports their neighbor.

“Neighborhood Marketing is a huge part of our advertising and marketing plan. However, it’s more than just getting our name out there. We are a family-owned and operated business and our mission is to support our local community who supports us,” stated Arma delaCruz Salazar, Director of Marketing.

Two recent incidents occurred the first month of the year and EWU joined the Golden Triangle Area in efforts to assist and help those individuals involved. In Starkville a fire claimed the lives of nine individuals including four very young children. The community came together to support the Oktibbeha County Red Cross.

“In order to help pay for those affected by the fire and help the families of the loved ones lost, EWU donated $250,” remarked Salazar. Seven hundred miles off the coast of Florida, a tremendous earthquake disrupted hundreds of thousands of lives in Haiti. EWU helped support a fundraiser held at the Princess Theatre in Columbus to raise money for the Tombigbee American Red Cross. EWU donated gift cards that would be raffled off with all proceeds from the raffle going towards the Haiti Relief Fund.

“These are just small random acts of kindness that we hope will make a difference in our community,” said Salazar.
